Prayers & Promises - Love Bible Study

Bible studies for those behind bars to use as self-study, with a pen pal, or in a small group.

Each lesson looks at one prayer and one promise found in the Bible. Then the class writes a prayer based on Scripture. It is this last process that can help a new group to come together in fellowship.

I also use a lesson when we are going through other related sequential material together and a holiday comes up and most people can not attend. They are a good lesson by themselves and yet the people who had to miss don't miss the sequential material the group was going to cover.

The lessons can be taken in any order. Each one is independent. They are perfect for a new group that is just forming or to fill up time on a group's schedule that comes open unexpectedly.

We will be adding more courses from time to time based on particular books or sections of the Bible. We would be glad to consider any suggestions you might have.

In connection with your study of prayer you may also want to look at our course on the Lord's Prayer in the Sermon on the Mount series. The Lord's Prayer is studied in detail. Each aspect of the prayer is compared to other scriptures on that topic.

We add new courses as often as we can. Which ones we work on next will depend on which ones you want.
