My Grandfather is AMBY. William, Abner, Irvin, Amby, Garnett Sr. and Garnett Jr. have always called Madison county home. Madison county 1830 census shows William Isbell had family. Still haven't been able to wife name or parents. I have two Isbell's in 1810 census Henry and Daniel shows numbers of family not much else. I have found a land grant (3230.0) for Daniel dated 06/29/1784 (authorized OK 4236) for 100 acres for 3 years service in Virginia State Line (A Revolutionary War Warrant) Here's the 64 dollar questions.
Do you known if either Henry , Daniel or my William is connected to the William Isbell who paid taxes in Madison county Kentucky 1792?
Is there anything you know about a Lincoln county Va. being change to Madison County KY?
Last but confusing in the Madison county marriage I have a Polly Isbell marrying Samuel Walters, Sept 19 1811 and marring William Turpin June 7 1797. Polly must have married twice, but I haven't been able to find out where she came from or and other family. Any help would be appreciated.
