Freeholder...To Lettice Cleghorn me dearly beloved wife, the plantation,
tools, and house, furniture, and the plantation I now live on, her lifetime
if she sees fit to live on it, three negros during her lifetime, if unmarried,
and if married ,after that the three said negros I give and bequeath to
my three sons William, James, John Cleghorn to be divided equally among
them, then when they become of age....to my beloved daughters, Rebeckah
and Jane Cleghorn , four hundred acres on the Warriers creek, S.C. ...to
my well beloved daughter Mary Cleghorn, two hundred acres on Lawsons Fork
S.C. ....to my well beloved daughter Lettice Cleghorn, three hundred and
fifty acres on Fishing creek, part in the Indian line ... to my well beloved
sons William, James, John and John Cleghorn ...land I now live on ?....two
hundred fifty acres on South Pacolet, to be sold at the expiration of three
years after my decease, one half to my well beloved friend John Scott junior
....to well beloved daughter Sarah Huddleston, s5 sterling, all bills,
