Issue of may 14,1869
Sampson T. Foy was born in Edgefield District, S.C., January 7th 1812:
moved to Jones Co. Ga. in 1834, and from Jones to Talbot in 1837,where
he lived until his death, April 3rd 1869.
In 1836 he was married to Frances S. Edwards, of Jones Co., who died
in 1857-- and married again in 1861 with Harriet A. Hays, of Taylor Co.
Ga., who survives him...left wife and children.
Issue April 2, 1873
Mrs. Harriet Foy died in Edgefield county, S.C. on 16th of January
in the 58th year of her age. She left 3 grown children.
Issue April 26, 1876
Mrs. Frances W. Powledge, whose maiden name was Foy, was born near
Wilmington, N.C., April 4,1810: and died in Merwether County, Ga. March
4,1876.
