Enoch Foy, born May 17, 1777 in Onslow Co., NC; died Oct 5, 1842 in Jones Co., NC. He was the son of James Foy and Elizabeth Ward.

(1)Enoch married Lucy Foy Sep 3, 1799 in NC. It is unknown what, if any, blood relationship there was between Lucy and Enoch. A child from one of Enoch's later marriages married a first cousin so a close relationship seems likely.

There is some difference of opinion about when Rachel and Enoch married. At least one researcher believes that some of the later children listed with Phoebe here were actually the children of Rachel.
