Basic Christianity Course

This course of nine lessons has been in use in our jail ministry for several years. It is designed for people who have just become Christians as adults. It has a few basic ideas to start building a new life on the only foundation we can count on, Jesus Christ.

In Lesson 2, Savior, we will try to answer the question "Who is Jesus Christ Our Lord?" If we are going to follow Him, we need to know Him.

In Lesson 3, Speaking with God, we will try to answer the question, "How do I talk with God?" or "How do I pray?"

In Lesson 4, Spiritual Society, we will try to answer the question, "How do I fit in with other Christians?" by talking about loving your neighbor, and sharing in fellowship.

In Lesson 5, Service, we will try to answer the question, "What does God want me to do?" by talking about worship, praise, and obeying His will.

In Lesson 6, Scriptures, we will try to answer the question, "How do I study God's Word?" by talking about the Bible, how it is organized and ways to better understand the Bible.

In Lesson 7, Sin, we will try to answer the question, "If I am a Christian, why do I still do things wrong?" by looking at Romans chapter 7.

In Lesson 8, Skepticism, we will try to answer the question, "If I am a Christian, why do I still have doubts?" by talking about the Gospel of John chapter 9.

In Lesson 9, Showing Our Faith we will try to answer the question, "How do I show others the way to Christ?" by talking about speaking with people who do not yet trust Jesus as their Savior.

This course of ten lessons talks about the Biblical and logical basis for the core beliefs of most Christians as expressed in the Statement of Faith.

In Lessson 7, we will try to briefly answer the question, "Where did sin come from and what is God doing about it?"

In Lessson 8, we will try to briefly answer the question, "What does God expect of us?"

In Lessson 9, we will try to briefly answer the question, "Are angels, demons and Satan real? So what?"
